Story Behind The Song

Recently the Lord has impressed upon me to consider how the Holy Spirit so tenderly leads me, ordering my steps, shaping my life to conform to the image of Jesus. In scripture we can see where the Dove representing the Holy Spirit Descends.

The symbol of the Dove representing the Holy Spirit, and all that the Holy Spirit represents in our lives, molding us shaping us refining us into pure gold, was a beautiful choice for this song. The Holy Spirits work is what inspired this song.

In my office I have a plaque of a rancher on his horse with a lamp to light his way in the darkness of the night.  Under his arm he has a sheep that he as rescued.

Under the picture is Isaiah 46:4 I have made you and will carry you. I will sustain you and I will rescue you…. this is the inspiration for the second verse of the song.

Many times I have referenced this plague for reassurance.
